Australian dairy and plant-based milks business, Noumi announced a three-year partnership with Shepparton Foodshare. The partnership will see thousands of litres of dairy milk products donated to support local people in need.
The announcement was made by Noumi CEO, Michael Perich and attend by some of the Noumi team, our volunteers, staff, a school that collects our food and the local media.
Noumi is Australia's largest long-life dairy milk processor and a local Shepparton manufacturer, with its supply of dairy milk sourced from farming partners within the region.
We are thrilled and very grateful for this support from Noumi that will make a huge difference to our community. As an important daily food staple, milk is in high demand however it has always been difficult for us to source in the bulk quantities that our community needs.
Noumi CEO, Mr Perich said -
“This year our dairy milk processing facility in Shepparton is celebrating its 10th anniversary. We have around 230 Noumi employees that work at our Shepparton site and live in and around the region."
“With strong ties to the Shepparton community and local dairy farmers, we are pleased to be able to give back through the donation of milk to Shepparton Foodshare to ensure that locally sourced and processed dairy milk can be enjoyed by everyone.”
We would like to mention the Gowrie Street Primary School students that attended the announcement. The student leaders represented their school's lunch program, 'Mandiga Algabonya,' These wonderful young leaders liaised with attendees and the media sharing how this partnership will make a difference to their lunch program and the more than 200 students that enjoy lunch each day at school.
