Fundraising Dinner A Great Success!

We are reflecting on a fabulous evening! Our annual fundraising dinner, Make A Meal Of June was held on June 5 at the beautiful The Woolshed at Emerald Bank, the perfect location with amazing hospitality provided by the Mangiameli family and their team.

With the support of all in the room and from some that couldn’t attend WE RAISED AN INCREDIBLE $105,000.

Wow! We say it every year but we will say it again, we are so in awe of this generous community. It is 12 years on from when Shepparton Foodshare started and we have been able to keep our doors open and providing food to local people due to this extreme community generosity.

Thank you to all that attended, to those that took up Monthly partnerships (a record 15 this year!), donated prizes for our raffle and purchased raffle tickets.

A big shout out to a wonderful guest speakers, Josh from Josh's Rainbow Eggs and Jolene from Generations Op Shop Foodbank. Josh’s Rainbow Eggs have donated a whopping 360,000 eggs to Shepparton Foodshare over the years. Jolene from Generations Op Shop who collects food from Shepparton Foodshare each fortnight spoke of the increased need for food relief locally and how Josh’s generous donations to Shepparton Foodshare flow through to the people they support.

Alan Rossignoli of the Margaret Attwood Trust announced another contribution of $30,000 for the year ahead and we were pleased to announce a new partnership with local manufacturer Noumi that will see regular donations of UHT milk and also a financial contribution each year for the next three years.

Thank you to our auctioneer extraordinaire Kevin Hicks Real Estate and all that contributed to this wonderful evening. There is too many people and businesses to mention here so please follow us on Facebook where over the coming weeks we will introduce you to those that contributed to this wonderful result.

A heartfelt THANK YOU, we can’t do what we do without you
